New Series: Shadow Song; Artist: Miley Cyrus - Song: The Time of Our Lives

I have decided to start a new posting series in addition to the album of the week and the single of the week. I’ve decided to call this series the “Shadow Song.” Basically, there are a lot of albums that come out with a featured single. Most people will go and buy that single and it will be popular for a while, but once people start listening to the whole they realize there is another great song on that album. My goal with this series is to showcase that song that still deserves recognition but may or may not ever become popular because it lived in another songs shadow.

While this song is the title song from Miley Cyrus’s EP, “The Time of Our Lives” it lives in the shadow of “Party in the USA.” After watching “See You Again” rise to the top of the iTunes top 10 and now “Party in the USA,” I can only assume people eventually stumble upon “The Time of Our Lives.”
